In a sit-down interview during Freedom Fast Lane Live 2016, real estate entrepreneur J Massey shared his thoughts on entrepreneurship and job creation in America.

When we go to school, get good grades, get a job, we don't go to an entrepreneurial fair at the end.

Right?

And we've all taken that economics class from a professor who never had a business.

But yet, we understand basic things like supply and demand. And when it comes to the supply of jobs versus the demand of jobs, that means somebody had better learn to create them.

All we've done is teach people how to take them.

And we haven't taught people how to create jobs in a very, very, very, very long time. And that's the problem.

So now we end up put into this situation to where people need an income and are wondering where the jobs are going and why they're not here.

Well, we've forgotten our fundamental skill - what made the United States great.

We were all self employed at one time. We had no choice but to create a job.

Yes, it was just a small enough job for our family, but it was still a job.

We had a productive way to contribute to society and to our community that didn't require any sort of welfare or social program to make sure people had food to eat and a place to sleep, and all of those types of things.

I think, unfortunately, we've forgotten that. But I also think, fortunately, it's creating an opportunity for a lot of people to get woke and understand that, "Hey, it's time. It's time for me to do my something," whatever that is.

And people of all ages. Because we also do a disservice to those who are older than us. They have so much wisdom. If they would just have the confidence to contribute it, I think we could, all together, do a lot better.

We believe that entrepreneurs solve the world's greatest problems. By building and investing in businesses, entrepreneurs are providing value, stimulating the economy, and giving ourselves the freedom to live the life and make the impact we want.
